When will my School appear in the AVICENNA Directories

The AVICENNA Secretariat receives a large number of emails from institutions, and from students, who want to know what progress we are making in including their school in the Directory, after receipt of the completed questionnaire. 

It is not always possible to reply to such enquiries, because of the large volume of messages like this that we receive.  What should you do? 

Remember that the AVICENNA Secretariat has stated that it may take up to four months from the receipt of the questionnaire before data is available on the website.   

Why does it take so long?  Although transfer of questionnaire responses from the survey instrument into the database is largely automatic, responses are scrutinised by the AVICENNA Secretariat for completeness, and inconsistencies and obvious typographical errors are examined.  These are corrected, which may involve writing to the school to obtain further information.  We also validate the information against standard authorised reliable sources, and this takes time. 

If we write to the school to request further information, please reply soon, so that we can work together to make the information publicly available as soon as possible.
