Global Collaboration

The development of the AVICENNA Directory is the responsibility of the World Federation for Medical Education in collaboration with the World Health Organization and other partners. At present partners in the project are:

• World Health Organization (WHO)
• United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
• University of Copenhagen. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
• The Educational Commission on Foreign Medical Graduate (ECFMG)
• Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER)
• The General Medical Council of the United Kingdom (GMC)
• The Australian Medical Council (AMC)
• The Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation (KIMEE)

Other representatives of regulatory agencies and other relevant organisations are being invited to participate in this global collaborative endeavour.
